OUR SERVICES

Mineral XRD DATA Analysis
Comprehensive studies on existing XRD mineral data, such as free silica content, which refers to crystalline silica (generally quartz) that is not bound to other substances. It is measured as weight % of the sample. Analyzing XRD data for free silica content in concrete, brick, rock, stone, sand, clay and dust is crucial for occupational health monitoring, as free silica is the leading cause of silicosis. Quantitative X-ray diffraction (QXRD) data is the gold standard method for identifying and quantifying crystalline silica, with each crystalline structure having a unique "fingerprint" that can be matched against a mineral database.
Rock XRD DATA Analysis
In-depth examination of rock mineralogy using analysis of existing XRD data for determining the mineral composition of concrete aggregate and sand, as well as material used in other civil engineering applications.
Soil XRD DATA ANALYSIS
Detailed analysis of soil composition for identifying and quantifying minerals using existing XRD data, including clays, in road base and other foundation applications.
Concrete XRD DATA ANALYSIS
Evaluation of concrete mineralogy for quantifying and tracking mineral consumption of reactive silica (micro- and crypto-crystalline quartz) in aggregates for assessing alkali-silica reactivity (ASR) within existing XRD data. In advanced stages, QXRD can be used to distinguish and quantify changes in the amount of crystalline and amorphous material within existing XRD data. QXRD is also used for monitoring carbonation of concrete through the formation of calcite and other carbonates. It can also be used for determining the risk of alkali-carbonate reactivity (ACR) in concrete, by identifying reactive phases such as dolomite and clay minerals in existing aggregate XRD data.
